Just do it Chevy.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:41 |

No.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:42 |

I like it! It would be just like the Challenger/Charger.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:43 |
|
Dodge already makes that.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:45 |
|
But maybe?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:46 |
|
I know and I like it, but its fat.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:47 |
|
But what would they call it?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:49 |
|
Isn’t that called a Cadillac ATS?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:50 |

Whatever they make, enthusiasts need to line up and buy it, or they’ll never take us seriously again.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:50 |

I’d rather have a 2 door charger.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:52 |

Ooh. Make a police version.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:53 |

Camero Extra Butt Edition.
*spelled wrong on purpose
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:54 |
|
What you did there, I see it.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:54 |
|
Yea, but not with a 460hp V8 for under $40k.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:55 |
|
But no.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 10:55 |
|
Oh so you mean
not
like the SS. Having its best year ever, with under 3,000 sales.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:02 |
|
Can you get 460 hp in a Camaro under $40k? Im astounded.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:04 |
|
By what logic would this be cheaper or faster or sell better?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:04 |
|
Yeah, the SS starts at $38k
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:06 |
|
Supposedly its in the works. Chevy 4 door alpha based performance sedan to replace the SS.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:07 |
|
Ooh, a new Chevelle.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:08 |

Once again, the SS is only here to satisfy the Austrailian government and buy off Holden. It is NOT a volume seller, it was never portrayed to be a volume seller it is and there is NO business case for a 4 door camaro. 0. Much less the development costs of designing and testing one. That camaro just became 50k. Sell better, yeah maybe 10,000 a year. Woooooo!
That being said, when did the SS become ‘not fast enough’?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:08 |
|
Actually I lied, its 455hp. But as Jayhawk said yea you can (actually more expensive then the other V8 pony cars).
You must not be ‘Murican.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:09 |

I do wonder what they’ll do when the Caprice/SS/Comodore finally stop production. Go back to Impalas?

Adding two doors should add less than $7k to the price, and less than 400lbs. Plus it would have more power. And it couldn’t sell worse.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:14 |

I’d like to think I’d put my money where my mouth is if I needed a car (and not just because I have a relative at GM) - go in and buy an SS at sticker to show GM that yes, we enthusiasts will buy it if you make it. Bought a ‘97 SHO at a bit off sticker price, bought a ‘91 CRX Si at full sticker. I’m the guy who buys the performance version of whatever the car is ... but I can’t justify a car living where I live now.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:22 |
|
But Dodge sells a boat load of Chargers. And to answer your last question when every other fast GM car is faster?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:22 |
|
I know, you’re right.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:24 |
|
Damn right I’m right.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:26 |
|
But sadly there’s not enough people like you. To be honest I’m one of those bad people. Can finally afford a new car and I’ll probably buy used still.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:27 |

Looks like there is potentially a replacement in the works !
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:31 |

They sell a boat load of cheap chargers because they are old, built in NA and have cheap options. The hemi charger only compares in a straight line which is fine if that’s what you’re into.
So only slower than the vette, camaro SS (and future fast variants), and the caddy V cars.
I think they’re ok with that.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:31 |

Tahoes.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:33 |
|
They can do it for $3.50.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:38 |
|
Yeah, but you’ll be that guy later, buying a 2020 sports whatever from the company that makes what you want. Shit - I bought a few cars used, but mostly new: ‘88 Camry wagon 5M, ‘87 300D, ‘87 Toyota pickup longbed 4x4, the CRX, the SHO, and a Buick that I don’t like to talk about. You’ll get there, and you’ll get what you want. Maybe even the gearhead dream - order precisely what you want and they’ll make it. So there.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:43 |

I’m not saying the Charger is better. I like it, but it is old and fat. I was also assuming for the renderings sake, that a 4 door Camaro would come with the full range of engines. So there’d be “cheap options”.
Obviously Chevy isnt going to do it, but I think visually and ideologically a 4 door Camaro is 10X better than the SS. IMHO that ‘shop is nice.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:44 |

I don’t understand any of your logic.
If adding two doors adds $7k to the price, it’s more expensive. Adding doors doesn’t add power.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:46 |
|
They almost have to offer a car too though.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:50 |
|
Sorry my wording was shit. “Should add less than” meaning a sedan option isn’t $7k more. And I meant more power vs the SS. Its still rocking the 415hp LS motor, not a 455hp LT1.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 11:55 |

It is, but I think it’d need to be stretched to fit a human back there (based on pony car stereotypes) plus SO MUCH PURIST ANGER.
... I take it back, I'm on board. Camaro sedan forever!

The rear drive V8 sedan is dead. I hate to admit it, but it’s true. People that buy a full size sedan dont care about performance.
FCA sells the hell out of the LX platform because of marketing. They have done an awesome job marketing to the middle age bros, thats fine its a niche that needed filled. Also in FCA defense the gen 2, and 3 LXs are very nice cars. No apologies for the 1st Gen. Also I’m positive no one is buying 2nd and 3rs gen super bees and SRTs to run with Miatas on track days. It was never meant to be that kind of car.
